Jason Schwartzman has joined the voice cast of Sony Pictures Animation sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Annecy International Animation Festival attendees were treated to this announcement, along with footage of the sequel that consisted of complete animation, in-progress work, and storyboards. We've got a few new cool things to share with you for Sony Pictures Animations' Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. First off, there's some new poster art that was revealed featuring during the annual animated film festival in Annecy, France. That poster features Miles Morales as Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 locked in battle.

Miles Morales is about to meet his "most formidable foe yet" - but you might not have heard of him. Sony has confirmed Spider-Verse 2's new villain will be The Spot, who has the ability to open portals. He'll be voiced by Jason Schwartzman in the new movie, who's best known for his roles in Wes Anderson's films, as well as the series Fargo and Mozart in the Jungle.
