Nintendo fans make Studio Ghibli inspired Pokémon Legends: Arceus trailer

3 monthes ago   |   By MobileSyrup

Two Nintendo fans have released a Ghibli-inspired fan trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus .
Self-proclaimed "Nintendo fangirls" Channy and Kimberly have shared their version of the Pokémon Legends: Arceus trailer that bears a resemblance to Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and Princess Mononoke .
This is only a 57-second video that features its own custom Studio Ghibli logo with Snorlax and Hisuian Growlithe instead of the spirit Totoro. The trailer also shows the protagonist riding on a Wyrdeer, similar to Ashitaka riding his loyal red elk Yakul.

Review Roundup For Pokemon Legends: Arceus

3 monthes ago   |   By GameSpot

Reviews for Pokemon Legends: Arceus have gone live, and across multiple outlets, the general consensus is that Game Freak's latest title is a refreshing twist on the classic catch 'em all formula. While it may not be the best Pokemon game-like no other game before-Pokemon Legends: Arceus overcomes some admittedly clumsy first steps to pave the way for the future of the series with some clever gameplay ideas. Critics have touched on how the mechanics for catching Pokemon are more engaging than ever, the world feels lively, and the battle system overhaul makes combat more exciting. Some of...

Pokémon Legends: Arceus breathes new life into Pokémon - The Verge

3 monthes ago   |   By N4G

From The Verge: "The most important thing I can say about Arceus is that its a place I want to be in. As much as I loved previous Pokémon games, the worlds were very static and linear. I never really felt like I was exploring a vibrant world while walking back and forth in tall grass trying to level up my squad. Here, though while its not exactly a realistic simulation of nature it at least gives off the feeling of a real place full of danger and secrets, and all of the joy and excitement those things can bring. And it does all of that while retaining most of the best qualities of its...

Pokemon Legends: Arceus review the best Pokemon in 20 years - VG247

3 monthes ago   |   By N4G

From VG247: "Far too much of what it was doing differently was hidden pre-release. Pokemon Legends: Arceus threads the needle and somehow finds a brilliant balance between old and new, between tradition and upheaval. Its the 3D Pokemon adventure that I imagined back in the 90s that never came. Its fresh. It feels new, exciting, and like a powerful new beginning for the series. Technical shortcomings and minor frustrations cant take away what this game achieves elsewhere; its the best main-series Pokemon game in a long, long time."

Review: Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the series best game in years | VGC

3 monthes ago   |   By N4G

From VGC: "Pokémon Legends is the breath of fresh air the series has needed for so long. Pokemon Legends: Arceus Review - What? Pokemon Is Evolving!

3 monthes ago   |   By GameSpot

In 1996, Pokemon was daring. The oddball RPG was both mechanically simpler and more ambitious than its contemporaries, consisting of an approachable battle system and a huge roster of 150 adorable mascot characters. Since then, the core Pokemon games have mostly stuck to the pattern established by those first games, developing a sense of familiarity with steady, light iteration. Pokemon Legends: Arceus breaks that iterative pattern, attempting to establish a new foundation while borrowing bits and pieces from the main Pokemon games to create something new. The result is sometimes messy and...

Pokémon Legends: Arceus breaks the mould and changes the series' formula in the right way

3 monthes ago   |   By MobileSyrup

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the latest entry in Game Freak's long-running line of Pokémon games.
Since 1998, the developer has launched 19 games (more if count you both titles in each pairing), and I've played 18 out of the 19 of them. With this in mind, out of every Pokémon game I've played, Pokémon Legends: Arceus strays from the series' formula the most.
While I wasn't sure what to expect going into the game, I walked away from the experience impressed with the main story and this new take on the series.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set in the ancient Sinnoh region back when it was called...
