With powerful graphics cards worldwide still being snapped up by cryptocurrency miners, it feels almost cruel for Crytek to announce another Crysis game. Today they confirmed they're returning to their supersuit FPS with a new instalment they claim will be "a truly next-gen shooter." They're not clear about what next-gen means to them. Crysis 4 is on its way, with developer Crytek putting out a teaser trailer following a leak on Chinese social media. Announced under the simple headline of 'A Crytek Announcement', the teaser shows a number of images, from an unstable sun to a collapsing building, before ending with a large number 4 and the tagline "Join the journey. become the hero." No official title, release date, platforms, or game details have been announced at time of writing. It's time to join the journey and be the hero.

Crytek has teased a new entry in its long-running Crysis series in a short trailer posted from its Twitter account. “Join the journey.
