IPhone XS Max vs iPhone 8 Plus - How Do They Compare?

They're very different in some ways, exactly the same in others.
For years the Plus line of iPhones was Apple's largest, topping out at 5.5in. That all changed last year when Apple introduced the iPhone X with its 5.8in screen. But now that screen looks tiny compared to Apple's latest and greatest flagship, the iPhone XS Max.
This 6.5in beast is MASSIVE-the biggest iPhone Apple has ever made. But Apple has decided not to do away with the Plus entirely. It's still keeping the iPhone 8 Plus available for sale. So how do the two models compare? Let's take a look.

Apple has more phablets than you can shake a stick at!
Apple has introduced its flagship smartphones for 2018 and the biggest and best on is the iPhone XS Max. It's an absolute BEAST of a phone with an edge-to-edge display that reaches 6.5in. That's the biggest ever in an iPhone.
The XS Max succeed the Plus series in previous models. But Apple is still keeping those Plus models around at cheaper prices-including the two-year-old iPhone 7 Plus. But just how does it compare to the new XS Max? Let's take a look.

Apple's phablets compared.
It used to be Apple just had one phablet-the iPhone Plus series. But this year Apple introduced two new iPhones to their phablet lineup. the first is the iPhone XS Max. This is the “Plus”-sized version of the iPhone X. But Apple also introduced a totally new iPhone called the iPhone XR.
The XR is a 6.1in display. It's Apple's attempt at giving consumers a larger display at a cheaper price point. However, there are a TON of differences between these two phablets. Just what are those? We take a look to find out.

It's a tradeoff of screen versus camera.
So Apple has come out with a bit of a confusing lineup this year. It's introduced the new iPhone XS and XS Max, as well as the iPhone XR. But Apple is keeping the older iPhone 8 Plus model on sale too. The new iPhone XR is meant to be an upset of the 8 Plus-but there are features that make the 8 Plus still a better phone.
That's not to say that the Xr isn't better in many respects. But still, it's not superior in all aspects. So just how is the new iPhone XR different than the 8 Plus. Let's take a look.

Apple's phablets face off!
Apple is a phablet phone company now. This September Apple introduced three new iPhones, all with screens 5.8in or larger. The biggest of which, the iPhone XS Max goes to 6.5in. And then there is the new iPhone XR, which has a 6.1in display.
But Apple has kept some of its previous phablets on sale too. Apple entry-level phablet is now the two-year-old iPhone 7 Plus. So just how does this low-cost phablet stack up against Apple's newest, phablet, the iPhone XR? Let's take a look.

The XR and 8 are the same in some respects.
Apple has a slew of iPhones in its lineup now. This month the company released the new iPhone XR, the iPhone XS, and the iPhone XS Max. AND the company kept around the older iPhone 8, 8 Plus, 7, and 7 Plus.
So needless to say, buying an iPhone right now can be a bit confusing. That's where we come in. In this latest versus, we're taking a look at the differences between the new iPhone XR and last year's iPhone 8.

It's no contest.
When Apple introduced the new iPhone XR, the iPhone XS, and the iPhone XS Max this month, as usual, it also kept around some of its older model iPhones, specifically the older iPhone 7, 8 Plus, 7, and 7 Plus. Apple does this so it can continue to offer phones at lower price points for people who don't need the latest and greatest.
So needless to say, buying an iPhone right now can be a bit confusing. That's where we come in. In this latest versus, we're taking a look at the differences between the new iPhone XR and the two-year-old iPhone 7, now Apple's...
