Three days with the Samsung Note 9: here's what we think so far

Three days with the Samsung Note 9: here's what we think so far

2 monthes ago   |   By TechRadar

“It's not easy every year” said DJ Koh, President & CEO Samsung's Mobile division at the launch of the Galaxy Note 9. He was speaking about pushing the boundaries on flagship phones and spending a few days with the Galaxy Note 9, we can understand why he said that. Similar to the Galaxy S9 update earlier in the year, the Galaxy Note 9 builds upon its predecessor, addressing all of its shortcomings. It looks almost identical to the Note 8 which means that it's still a massive phone with a gorgeous screen and a stylus but Samsung has replaced the innards and given the battery life a much...

The best Samsung Galaxy Note 9 cases we've seen so far

The best Samsung Galaxy Note 9 cases we've seen so far

With a starting price of $1,000/£899/AU$1,499, which only rises if you want more RAM and storage, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is at the very top tip of smartphone pricing, and you'll probably want to keep it safe. The good news is there are already loads to choose from. The bad news is they're not all made equal, and sifting through them to find the best is hard work. That's why we've done it for you. All the...

2 monthes ago   |   By Business Insider

Here it is, another smartphone that costs $1,000.
Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 9 on Thursday with the same price tag as the iPhone X, which is still a ridiculous asking price for a smartphone, if you ask me. But that four-figured price tag might be slightly more justifiable on the Galaxy Note 9.
After looking at the specs and features of both phones, it's clear that you're getting more "phone" in the Galaxy Note 9 than you are with the iPhone X.
Check out the major differences between the iPhone X and Galaxy Note 9 to see what I mean: Both have ultra-premium designs and are covered in...

With the Galaxy Note 9, the Note line has a new purpose

With the Galaxy Note 9, the Note line has a new purpose

Samsung's repositioning of the Galaxy Note as power-user phone bodes well for the series' continued prosperity.
We've often asked what makes a Galaxy Note phone special. Sure, the Note is able to boast its place in smartphone history as the first mainstream "phablet" device, having first launched way back in 2011. But why buy a Note today when there are so many other great, big phones on the market - many of which sell for a fraction of the Galaxy Note 9's eye-watering $1000 starting price?
Since Samsung first introduced a larger Galaxy S model with the S7 edge , the question has been even...
