With the sudden closure of Telltale Games this past September, there were many doubts about the conclusion of the Final Season of the developer's seminal adventure game series The Walking Dead. During the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, however, it was revealed that next episode of The Final Season will arrive on January 15, 2019, with many of the core developers returning to finish out the conclusion to the story. The Walking Dead: The Final Season Resumes January 15

At the Kinda Funny Games Showcase today, hosts Greg Miller and Tim Gettys announced new details about The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The finale to the long-running episodic series based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic was caught in limbo when Telltale Games closed abruptly, leaving two of the four planned episodes unfinished. Earlier this year, Skybound games, which is owned in part by Kirkman, announced they would be resuming production with as many of the Telltale developers as they could gather.

Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season Returns Next Month With Episode 3

Announced at the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season's third episode will be released next month.
Episode three, Broken Toys, will launch on all platforms on January 15, 2019, and will be released by Robert Kirkman's company, Skybound, following the "majority studio closure" of Telltale Games.
